The registration explained in eight steps:
When you begin your registration, it is important that you remember the details you input as the whole process is usually not completed in a day. You will need these details to access the platform again.
You have to enrol on a course from the enrolment portal.
If you want to consult all the available courses, you can do so using the course finder.
Preferred student enrolment: people enrolled on a course within the last 12 months.
General enrolment: addressed to everyone else.
To be able to enrol, you must meet the following requirements:
be 18 years old, or 16-17 years old and not have completed compulsory schooling in Catalonia
Prove the necessary level
New student: if you have never taken a Catalan course in the CPNL, you must fill in the form to be able to continue with your enrolment. You must prove your identity on the form, using one of the following documents: DNI, NIE (or equivalent from the Schengen Area) or passport.
Former student: if you have already taken a course in the CPNL, you only need to verify your personal details and continue with your enrolment. If there have been any changes to your details, you will need to enter them here.
To be able to enrol on a course, you must prove your level of Catalan. This can be done:
1. By means of a placement test.
You can request a free test, either online or face-to-face, via the enrolment portal (you need to register), or directly on the enrolment portal.
You can find all the information about placement tests on the information page:
Placement test information
2. By means of a Catalan language certificate.
People interested in the Proficiency level (C2) who do not have an Advanced level certificate (C1) issued by the CPNL or the DGPL will be required to do a placement test.
If you have already done a course with the CPNL, you have to do the course that follows the one you have passed.
If you are entitled to a reduction of the enrolment fees, you must provide the following supporting documentation:
Enrolment can be ordinary or with reductions. You can check prices here.
If you have taken a placement test, the course you have to do will depend on the test results.
- Documents valid at the time of enrolment that prove a student is entitled to a reduction in the enrolment fees, in accordance with the prices and reductions in force.
- Special needs document
- Authorisation from the father, mother or legal guardian, if the student is 16 or 17 years old (parental consent).
- If the person who formalises the enrolment is not the interested party, they must provide proof of representation.
You can check all the reductions here .
Once the CPNL has validated the received documentation, you will be able to continue with the enrolment procedure.
You will receive a document to make the payment, once the enrolment has been formalised.
Once the payment has been received, if the enrolment fee is not been paid within three calendar days, it will automatically be cancelled.
If enrolment is free for the course, you can skip this step.
If you have made the payment or you didn’t have to because it is free, that means you are enrolled on the Catalan course!
If you have not paid within the established period but you want to do a course, you will have to start the enrolment procedure again.
