Regulations for Catalan courses
1.1. Enrolment periods
The enrolment periods will be published on the website at least 15 days before the start of the enrolment period. Enrolment on Catalan courses is mainly carried out online.
Preferential enrolment is for people who enrolled on a course within the last 12 months. General enrolment is open to all other interested people. Enrolment is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Enrolment on a course closes when the maximum number of students per course has been reached. In the event that there are more applications than places and a waiting list is created, this will also be managed on a first-come, first-served basis. Each applicant will be informed of their number on the list.
1.2. Enrolment conditions
In order to enrol on the courses, the following requirements must be met:
be 18 years old, or 16-17 years old and not have completed compulsory schooling in Catalonia;
demonstrate the necessary level by means of the placement test or a Catalan language certificate.
Students may only enrol on the course that follows the last one passed or the course indicated by the placement test.
Students may only enrol on one general course, regardless of the modality, and under no circumstances may two courses be taken at the same time.
In order to be able to formalise the enrolment, it is essential to be up to date with the payment of previous enrolment fees.
Enrolments are non-transferable.
If untruthful data is provided, it will invalidate the enrolment and the CPNL will not be obliged to refund the enrolment fee.
The CPNL wishes to attend to students in the best possible way. For this reason, people with special needs (disability, physical or mental impairment, learning disorder), who require an adaptation of materials or space, must indicate it when they enrol. However, it should be borne in mind that the CPNL does not have specific material and human resources for specialised support.
1.3. Enrolment procedure
1.3.1. To formalise enrolment, students need to fill in the online form or enrolment form and prove their identity with the following documents: DNI, NIE (or equivalent from the Schengen Area) or passport. It is also essential to demonstrate the level of Catalan, either by means of a certificate of achievement corresponding to the last course passed, or by presenting a recognised Catalan language certificate. If no certificate is available, students will be required to do a placement test, in accordance with paragraph 3.
1.3.2. Other documents (if applicable) Documents valid at the time of enrolment that prove a student is entitled to a reduction in the enrolment fees, in accordance with the prices and reductions in force. The list of documents can be consulted here. Special needs document Authorisation from the father, mother or legal guardian, if the student is 16 or 17 years old. Parental authorisation If the person who formalises the enrolment is not the interested party, they must provide proof of representation.
Students will receive the document to make the payment once the enrolment has been formalised.
If the enrolment fee has not been paid within three calendar days, it will automatically be cancelled.
