Hey! Listen and speak. Catalan oral course
The Consortium for Linguistic Normalisation and the Directorate General for Language Policy have created the spoken Catalan course, Hey! Listen and speak.
This course is aimed at illiterate adults or who have a limited academic background, to enable them to meet the basic needs of everyday life in Catalan. Learners doing the Hey! Listen and Speak course are expected to have the same speaking skills as students who have completed level A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Starting next academic year, the Consortium for Linguistic Normalization will offer the Hey! Listen and Speak course in all the centres.
The course is divided into three modules and works on nine topics related to everyday life. In each module the content is reviewed and new content is added. Students will be able to take all three modules throughout the 2019-2020 academic year.
The proposed methodology is meaningful and communicative, with activities that call for movement, play and involvement.
